Utilization of Sludge from Textile Wastewater Treatment Plants as Raw Material for Iron Coagulant

Treatment of liquid waste using iron coagulant produces a by-product in the form sludge which requires large handling costs. To reduce environmental pollution and treatment costs, will be used as raw material for manufacture coagulant. This study aims to determine whether from textile WWTP can effectiveness coagulants made sludge, this compare results coagulation-flocculation process commercial well mixed with ratios 70%, 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%. The water quality resulting was indicated by pH, color turbidity, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) Suspended (TSS). showed that worse when smaller ratio sludge. A mixture meets standard TSS parameter is v/v while those less than 70% do not meet standard.
